What is being done for our Country? BRING ON THE TEA PARTY

Subject: What is being done ?? BRING ON THE TEA PARTY!

It is too bad Americans don't want to know the truth. I guess they only care about their own personal self or else their heads are is buried in the sand.

What has our government done to insure that we have affordable gasoline, oil, & energy? Under Carter the Department of Energy was instituted in 1977 to lessen our dependence on Foreign oil. The budget for this "necessary" department is at least $24.2 billion a year and have 16,000 Federal employees and 100,000 contract employees. Wow! AND look at the job they have done. Maybe they think WE DON'T NEED ENERGY, AFTER ALL THIRD WORLD COUNTRIES DON'T HAVE IT.

If the Liberals, Socialists, Marxists & George Soros, and Obama and his administration win and change this country into a Socialist Country like Obama and his Czars and fellow liberals are trying to do, I would never participate in voting again, and I would not support anything done by the United States Government. The Progressives in both parties have shared values. The two party system is no longer Dems and Reps, it is Progressives and Conservatives.

Obama hopes that the economic crisis he is fanning will crash prior to the next election. The "slow to catch on" masses will be very receptive to his Socialist agenda. Not only is he counting on support from the mindless masses, he knows that the crash will be blamed on the Conservatives (Christians) who he sees as one of his biggest problems

I am sick of his "take from the rich and give to the poor" bit. Why don't he just stop spending and cut government jobs and his czars. If the American People (who are liberals and there are plenty of them) re-elect Obama and if they are so stupid and thick-headed not to see where this Country is headed lead by Obama and his progressive administration then, the stupid Americans deserve what they get. I have come to the point I can't stand looking at the women on "The View" with their sour faces when they contradict everything a Conservative may say.

Obama talks a lot but does nothing but increase his spending, and says everything is just fine. I think we are living in the "Twilight Zone." What's the matter with the Americans living here? Maybe they should move to Italy, Greece, or Egypt and enjoy their freedoms there.

Senators and Legislators, -- Inflation may well be the dominant legacy of the Obama presidency. While he had Bush's help in creating high unemployment, he has driven us into inflation all on his own. Obama's Czars enjoy wide-ranging bureaucratic authority beyond the purview of Congress, earn six-figure salaries, and exhibit political views that reflect a distinct tilt to the left.

President Barack Obama has replaced Jimmy Carter "as the worst president in the history of this country." The federal government is spending too much, taxing too much and has grown too large. If we don't succeed in stopping this, and the next real opportunity to stop it is the 2012 election, our country is going to unravel.

Obama and his liberals and crooks in government and business are destroying our Country. Who is getting rich on oil and gasoline increases? The surge in oil prices since the end of last year is already doing significant damage to the economy. I can't believe our government can't do anything about the outrageous increases in prices for oil and gasoline. Life will be no life when I can't drive to out of state to visit my grandchildren because we can't afford gas. This nation's economic crisis - and the fact China "is ripping off the United States" and the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and other foreign nations are taking advantage of America is "disgraceful."

I like what Trump says: "China should be forced to end currency manipulation or face a 25 percent tariff on all exports to the United States. OPEC oil-producing nations should have to drop the price of a barrel or oil to $40-$50 or face America's wrath. And Arab nations and South Korea should pay for benefiting from America's military might.

Obama believes in the same old big government path of higher spending, more debt, and massive tax increases. If President Obama wants us to believe he now wants to reduce deficits just 2 months after submitting a budget with red ink, then he should propose a new and complete formal budget. Instead, like his friends on the Left, Obama has launched a full-throated attack on leaders like Congressman Paul Ryan who stand for real budget reform and genuine spending cuts.

Those of you Senators and Congressmen who are honorable, do something for us in the United States --stop the ridiculous bills at the gas station and ridiculous spending.

We cannot tax our way out of our debt crisis. President Obama calls on Americans to "live within our means," yet his own budget for 2012 spends $1.1 trillion more than our government takes in.

President Obama has failed to realize that the problem isn't that our taxes are too low - it's that the current spending habits in Washington have created a recipe for disaster. The answer is not increasing taxes, but to make bold spending cuts so we don't leave this fiscal mess for our children and grandchildren. Increasing taxes during this economy would seriously hurt America's job creators.

How can anyone demand bigger government, more services, higher spending, and higher taxes in the middle of a financial crisis. Higher taxes lead to even higher spending, deficit, and debt. Higher taxes are used to hire more government employees, at higher salaries, with bigger pensions. This progressive agenda leads to economic ruin all over the world.

Ask New York. Ask California. Or ask the PIIGS (Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece and Spain). They all suffer from the same maladies - big government, bloated spending, big pensions, unsustainable deficits, powerful unions, and too many government employees trying to leech off too few taxpayers.

The president claims that Obamacare will help reduce the deficit yet fails to acknowledge how much his failed bailouts, stimulus and other reckless spending have contributed to the fiscal mess we're in. It is absolutely critical we repeal and defund Obamacare. The emergency British health care plan -- entitled "Liberating the National Health Service" -- is downsizing its bureaucracy because socialized medicine costs too much, rations care and limits access. The London Telegraph leaked documents exposing scandalous shortages leaving patients high and dry and literally on the operating table at cash-strapped hospitals. The Obama's new Medicare Rationing Czar, Sir Donald Berwick, is a big fan of British health care rationing. Great we have a lot to look forward to.

Every time we buy food or pay for gasoline and pay for utility bills, we see how much inflations is affecting us. Pensions and social security are not increasing. Houses are worth less than when they were last appraised, BUT LAND AND SCHOOL TAXES KEEP INCREASING. Perhaps liberals, progressives, and all Obama followers need to watch the news once in a while.

American foreign aid has escalated to about $50 billion. Almost every single nation on earth gets our foreign aid. Foreign aid has never been politically popular in the United States, and now is the time to put it on the table in the budget talks. Shut down the foreign aid budget!~! Our nation is running the largest budget deficit in the world and is subsidizing almost every other nation on the planet.

AND what about the Federal Reserve!! It is a private entity yet largely responsible for our economic policies. The Federal Reserve has now handed out multi-trillion dollar bailout packages to banks and big industries, and now, finally, people are starting to demand to know where all that money actually went. We need to have an audit to find out what the Federal Reserve is hiding. The information they're most protective of are the details of where many trillions of dollars used in the bailout went, and what the collateral was.

The Federal Reserve has also been extremely protective of information dealing with foreign central banks. Preliminary figures show the Federal Reserve has engaged in some $16 trillion-worth of transactions, one-third of which were with banks overseas. There's no doubt that foreign banks have been major recipients of Federal Reserve funds.

We want to know the details of what the agreements were, and whether any of that money will be recouped.

AND what about OPEC!~! It is amazing that OPEC can raise the price of oil and get away with it. If they did it in this country, it would be called an illegal deal and they would go to jail. Twelve men sitting around a table, and they are having an absolute field day because the United States has nobody to call, and talk, and say: You're not going to do it - if you do it, you've got big, big problems. They wouldn't even be there, except for us; without us they wouldn't even exist.

Exxon Mobil, Bank of America, GE and other giant corporations paid no U.S. taxes despite billions in profits. In fact, they pocketed big IRS refunds.

The U.S. Senate should support the new legislation to close "corporate tax loopholes and eliminating tax breaks for oil and gas companies."

The 10 "worst corporate income tax avoiders" are among the biggest spenders when it comes to lobbying. Bank of America, Goldman Sachs and Carnival Cruise Lines -- spent a combined $117 million on lobbying during 2010 alone.

What about immigration! Shouldn't there be a restriction on the number of immigrants coming into this country. What has Obama done about the illegal immigrants! Obama and the liberal judges favor Mexico's will over Arizona's anti-illegal immigration bill.

The Right vs. The Left

"One of the major differences between the right and the left concerns the question of authority: To whom do we owe obedience and who is the ultimate moral authority? For the right, the primary moral authority is God (or, for secular conservatives, Judeo-Christian values), followed by parents. Of course, government must also play a role, but it is ultimately accountable to God and it should do nothing to undermine parental authority. For the left, the state and its government are the supreme authorities, while parental and divine authority are seen as impediments to state authority. ... In a nutshell, the left wants to have ever-expanding authority over people's lives through ever-expanding governmental powers. It does so because it regards itself as more enlightened than others. Others are either enemies (the right) or unenlightened masses. It is elected by demonizing its enemies and doling out money and jobs to the masses." --radio talk-show host Dennis Prager

Dear Patriots;

We are all aware of the continued attack on the core values and

principles on our American Society by President Obama, House

Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senator Harry Reid and a Congress filled with depravation.

Our nation is rapidly disintegrating right before our very eyes.

Our elected officials are gaining unprecedented momentum in

attempting to eradicating OUR REPUBLIC and converting it in to THEIR Marxist Society; if not worse.

They have continued to disrespect the American People by violating the Constitution of The United States.

They have continued to levy burdensome taxes on all of us while they reap the benefits of our honest toil.

They have continued to violate many of our Constitutional Rights.

They have ignored the words WE THE PEOPLE, and for their political gain, substituted it for THEY THE GOVERNMENT.

Their distorted political ideologies are rapidly ripping apart the soul

of our nation. And now they are attempting to seek further legislation

to deny our rights to control our own medical health care and when

we should die!

The only hope for the preservation of the American Republic is in the Tea Party movement. Please become an American Patriot and join us today.

THE REAL REASON AMERICANS ARE ANGRY

By MATT WELCH

August 22, 2009 --

It's been a hilarious August, watching media supporters of President Obama's health care package puzzle over the obscure motivations of the noncompliant Americans rallying against it.

"Racial anxiety," guessed New York Times columnist Paul Krugman.

"Nihilism," theorized Time's Joe Klein.

"The crazy tree blooms in every moment of liberal ascendancy," historian Rick Perlstein proclaimed in the Washington Post.

While the commentariat's condescension is almost comical, the whole evil-or-stupid explanation misses the elephant in Obama's room: Americans of all stripes, it turns out, aren't very keen about the government barging into their lives.

An ABC/Washington Post poll from June showed people preferred "smaller government with fewer services" over "larger government with more services" by 54% to 41%, up from 50%-45% a year earlier (independents were even more pronounced, at 61%-35%). A Rasmussen poll from April showed that 77% of Americans preferred a "free market" economy over a "government managed" economy, up seven percentage points from just last December. A July CBS poll found that 52% of Americans think that Obama is trying to do "too much."

After 11 months of federal bailouts and freakouts, Americans have become bone tired of panicky power grabs from Washington. It's the big government, stupid.

The message of the various Tea Party protests, which predated this summer's ahistorical media panic over town hall "lynch mobs," has been pretty simple, says Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, the nonprofit that has helped organize the protests, told Reason magazine this spring. "It was: stop spending so much money, stop borrowing so much money, and stop bailing out people who were irresponsible."

It's a reality that surely haunts the politically sensitive Obama administration: Ever since George W. Bush first tried to cram the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) down the throats of largely unwilling citizens, bailouts of failed institutions, from AIG to American Axle, have been enormously unpopular.

Consistently, 60% or more of Americans have opposed the ongoing federal takeover of the domestic automobile industry. And for good reason, too, beyond the crazy economics of throwing good taxpayer money after bad private failure. TARP money was expressly earmarked by Congress for financial institutions, not auto (or any other kind of) manufacturers, which makes the Detroit bailout not only imprudent but illegal.

Financial industry bailouts, too, have been widely reviled. This past week Michael Moore released the trailer for his upcoming agitprop documentary "Capitalism: A Love Story," and it's filled with outrage at the fact that all us working shlubs are, without being asked for permission, shoveling over our hard-earned cash to a bunch of fat-cat Wall Street execs who made bad bets and lost. "Where's our money?" the fat man asks. For a change, he's right.

This isn't about liberal or conservative, Democrat or Republican. A majority oppose Obama's policies because they fly in the face of this country's bedrock values of personal liberty and limited government. Robbing Peter to pay Goldman Sachs does violence to that fundamentally American ethos.

And increasingly, Obama administration policy does violence to European values, as well. The continent has for the last two decades been systematically disengaging national governments from domestic industries. Top officials from Sweden, of all places, complained about Washington's auto bailout, tersely announcing that "The Swedish state is not prepared to own car factories."

It's not just the boardroom that faces intrusion. Kitchens everywhere should beware Obama's head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, former New York City health commissioner Thomas Frieden, who may ban trans fats and require calorie counts nationally. Obama's chief consumer protection advocate at the Federal Trade Commission is a former Ralph Nader employee who wants to sue companies that don't receive consumer complaints, and his antitrust chief thinks that Google is a prime target for government prosecution.

Meanwhile the administration wants to make college loans a federal "entitlement," national "service" a household word, and video games a target of presidential wrath. The default mindset is government involvement, not private choice.

Americans didn't vote for big government last November. They voted for a guy who looked like he could keep his cool in the heat of battle. If Obama wants to regain that cool, he needs to rein in the power-grabbers in Washington.

Matt Welch is editor in chief of Reason magazine.

Top 10 Obama Government Grabs

1. The Stimulus ($787 billion)

Making government the nation's largest employer.

2. The Omnibus ($410 billion)

Now largely forgotten, this porktastic piece of leftover Bush legislation passed in March without so much as a peep from a new administration that campaigned nobly against earmarks and fiscal irresponsibility.

3. Health Care Reform ($1 trillion?)

The white whale of Obama's domestic agenda; currently under threat from all sides of every aisle.

4. Cap and Trade.

Not yet law, and less likely to become so now that health care reform has hit the skids, this House-approved legislation would nonetheless make producing and consuming energy much more expensive, adding an estimated $1,100 per household by 2050, according to the Environmental Protection Agency.

5. Antitrust lawsuits against Google, et al.

Not on everyone's radar screen yet, but the new head of the Justice Department's antitrust division has recently said, regarding everyone's favorite free search engine, that "I think you are going to see a repeat of Microsoft."

6) Pay Czar

As part of the federalization of commerce, the Obama administration appointed a "Special Master for Compensation" to review the top salaries of executives at firms receiving bailout money. This will surely debase their global competitiveness.

7. Turning Pell Grants into an entitlement.

This, like the recently terminated Cash-for-Clunkers program, will doubtlessly prove popular (as most federal programs that give away "free" money usually are), but the Student Aid and Financial Responsibility Act will, if passed, make the federal government the last big provider of student loans in America.

8. Having the Food and Drug Administration regulate tobacco.

This Philip Morris-backed development, which will reduce the nicotine content of cigarettes, will keep safer tobacco products off the market while imposing onerous marketing restrictions.

9. Consumer Financial Protection Agency.

Unclear how it will all shake out, but the federal government is preparing steps for unprecedented regulation of all consumer finance transactions. Already, payday lenders are being chased into the black market, and New York is losing its luster as an international capital for finance.

10. Federal Trade Commission overreach.

Again off most radar screens, the former Ralph Naderite who now runs the FTC's Consumer Protection Division has announced intentions to crack down on companies deemed to violate consumer privacy, even if no consumers are complaining.

Facts about Nationalized Health Care

Posted by tom-judy on August 5, 2009 at 3:06 PM Comments comments (1)

From NCPA.org (National Center from Policy Analysis):

Facts about Nationalized Health Care An ?individual mandate? means that the government will force you to buy or join the health plan it decides is best for you. Despite spending an additional $1.6 trillion, under the Kennedy Plan two-thirds of the uninsured will still lack coverage. The cost of each newly insured person is $62,500 over 10 years ? or $240,000 for a family of four. A ?public plan? means that nearly 120 million people will lose their private coverage (Lewin Group estimate). The plan is paid for by cutting billions in Medicare payments to doctors and hospitals, reducing seniors? access to care. The government will give ?guidelines? to the health care system on what is ?cost effective.? In Britain, the health board has determined that a year of life is worth $35,000. If an anti-cancer drug, for example, costs more than that, the patient doesn?t get it.
